Job Summary:The Driver Coordinator is responsible for managing day-to-day driver operations, including scheduling, route planning, pickup and drop-off coordination, and ensuring timely and efficient transportation services. This role serves as the main point of contact between drivers, dispatch, customers, and management to ensure smooth and professional service delivery.Key Responsibilities:Driver Management:Assign and schedule drivers for daily pickups, drop-offs, and deliveries.Maintain accurate records of driver schedules, routes, and attendance.Monitor driver performance and compliance with company policies, safety standards, and traffic regulations.Handle driver-related issues such as delays, absences, or vehicle breakdowns promptly and effectively.Operational Coordination:Plan and coordinate transportation routes to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.Ensure all pickups and deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with client requirements.Communicate changes in schedules or routes to drivers and clients in real time.Track vehicle movements using GPS or fleet management software.Customer and Internal Communication:Serve as the point of contact for clients regarding pickup and drop-off inquiries or issues.Collaborate with the operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless workflow.Report any service delays or incidents and provide timely updates to management and clients.
