About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and organized Front Office Associate / Receptionist to be the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors at our Thanjavur center. You will manage the front desk, handle inquiries, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Management
Greet and welcome students, parents, and visitors warmly
Manage the front desk and ensure the reception area is tidy and professional
Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls, take messages, and redirect calls appropriately
Student & Parent Services
Answer questions about courses, fees, batches, and admission procedures
Handle walk-in inquiries and provide accurate information about Aakash programs
Assist with student registration and documentation
Administrative Tasks
Maintain attendance records for staff and students
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries
Keep records of inquiries and follow-ups
Handle basic data entry and maintain student records
Coordinate with teachers and management for scheduling and appointments
Operations Support
Assist with fee collection and receipt management
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff
Monitor and order front office supplies
Ensure security procedures are followed (visitor log, ID badges)
Requirements
Education & Experience
Preferred: Graduate in any discipline
Prior experience in reception or front office roles preferred
Skills Needed
Good communication skills in English
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel, Email)
Friendly personality and professional appearance
Ability to handle multiple tasks and stay organized
Customer service mindset
