Job Description

Job Overview: You will be responsible for providing essential support in the smooth operation of a movie theater. You will assist in various aspects of cinema operations, ensuring a high level of customer service, safety, and efficiency. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a positive movie-going experience for patrons and supporting the cinema management team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

· Greet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner.

· Sell tickets, answer inquiries about showtimes and seating, and handle customer concerns or issues professionally.

· Maintain a helpful and approachable demeanor to enhance the overall customer experience.

2. Ticket Sales and Box Office:

· Operate ticketing software and cash registers accurately.

· Ensure ticket sales are conducted efficiently, and transactions are handled promptly.

· Assist with ticket inventory management.

3. Concession Stand Support:

· Assist in preparing and serving concession items such as popcorn, snacks, and beverages.

· Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the concession area.

· Handle cash transactions and provide change accurately.

4. Usher Duties:

· Monitor auditoriums to ensure a smooth seating process and address any disruptions or issues.

· Assist with cleaning and preparing auditoriums between screenings.

· Help patrons find seats and ensure compliance with safety and seating policies.

5. Security and Safety:

· Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.

· Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized entry.

· Follow emergency procedures and assist in evacuations if necessary.

6. Facility Maintenance:

· Report maintenance and cleanliness issues to management promptly.

· Assist in routine cleaning tasks, including restrooms, lobby areas, and common spaces.

· Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of seating areas.

7. Cash Handling and Reporting:

· Handle cash transactions accurately and securely.

· Assist in preparing daily financial reports and reconciling sales.

· Maintain cash registers and change funds as directed.

8. Collaboration:

· Work closely with other cinema staff members to ensure efficient operations.

· Assist in special events, promotions, and marketing initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Previous experience in a customer service role is beneficial.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

· Basic knowledge of safety and security procedures.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
