About the Role
We are looking for detail-oriented Data Annotators to support an AI training project focused on handwritten text recognition. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately annotating handwritten text in images by drawing bounding boxes around text regions and evaluating the quality of ground-truth data.
This is a fully onsite role with structured 8-hour daily shifts. Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory, as we provide complete task-level training before you begin.
We are currently looking for Data Annotators with native or near-native proficiency
in the following languages:
• Punjabi(Good in writing as well as reading & speaking)
Key Responsibilities
• Review image batches containing handwritten or live text provided through the annotation platform.
• Draw precise bounding boxes around individual handwritten text segments as per task guidelines.
• Evaluate and verify ground-truth labels for accuracy and completeness.
• Flag images or text segments that are illegible, ambiguous, or do not meet annotation criteria.
• Maintain consistent annotation quality in accordance with the project style guide and quality benchmarks.
• Meet daily and weekly throughput targets while maintaining the accuracy thresholds set by the QA team.
• Participate in calibration sessions and promptly incorporate feedback from QA reviewers.
• Report task-level issues, edge cases, or tool-related bugs to the project lead through the designated channels.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum educational qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent, or above.
• Native fluency, both oral and written, in any one of the above-mentioned languages.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately identify and locate text within complex image backgrounds.
• Comfort in working with web-based annotation tools. Training will be provided.
• Ability to read and interpret handwritten text in the target language(s) for the project.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently within a structured daily schedule.
• Good written communication skills in English for platform interaction and feedback reporting.
Good to Have
• Prior exposure to data annotation, image labeling, or AI/ML data collection tasks.
• Familiarity with annotation tools such as Label Studio, CVAT, Scale AI, or similar platforms.
• Experience in quality review or proofreading tasks requiring high accuracy.
• Knowledge of multiple scripts or languages. Specific language requirements will be communicated during project onboarding.

Work Schedule & Conditions
• Schedule: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
(Weekends may be required based on project deadlines.)
