Job Title: Team Leader – Collections
Job Summary
The Team Leader – Collections is responsible for managing a team of collection agents to ensure timely recovery of outstanding dues. The role involves monitoring team performance, implementing collection strategies, maintaining compliance, and achieving monthly recovery targets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of collection executives
Allocate cases and ensure daily follow-ups on overdue accounts
Monitor team performance against KPIs (recovery rate, calls, resolution time)
Develop and implement effective collection strategies
Handle escalated or difficult customer cases
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports
Coordinate with internal departments (sales, operations, legal)
Conduct regular training and performance reviews for team members
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business, or related field preferred)
2–5 years of experience in collections/recovery, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Leadership and team management ability
Knowledge of collection tools, CRM systems, and MS Excel
Ability to handle pressure and meet targets
