Collection Executive

Job Title: Collection Executive – Loan Recovery

Department: Collections / Recovery

Reports to: Collection Manager / Recovery Manager

Job Purpose:

• To ensure timely recovery of loans and outstanding dues from customers, maintain healthy portfolio quality, and minimize delinquency by following company guidelines, compliance, and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact customers through phone calls, field visits, and other channels to remind them of pending dues and recover payments.

• Negotiate repayment schedules and settlements in line with company policies.

• Maintain regular follow-ups with delinquent customers to achieve monthly collection targets.

• Update and maintain accurate records of interactions, payments, and commitments in the system.

• Coordinate with legal and recovery teams for escalation of chronic/default cases.

• Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, company policies, and fair debt collection practices.

• Build rapport with customers to encourage repayment and resolve queries regarding loan accounts.

• Report daily/weekly/monthly collection status to managers.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Persuasion and problem-solving ability.

• Knowledge of loan products, collections, and recovery process.

• Ability to handle pressure and meet targets.

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, loan management systems).

• Willingness to travel for field collections (if required).

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum: 12th Pass / Graduate preferred.

• 0–3 years of experience in loan collections/recovery, preferably in NBFCs, Banks, or Microfinance.

• Freshers with good communication skills may also apply.
