Customer Support Business Development Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Convention Center Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our convention center. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth venue operations and successful event execution through effective staff leadership, vendor coordination, and facility readiness. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent client and guest experiences while ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency across all functions.

Key Responsibilities

Venue Operations & Facility Management

Manage daily venue operations across front-of-house and back-of-house areas.

Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, functional, and compliant with applicable regulations.

Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs with internal teams and external vendors.

Maintain inventory and manage procurement of operational supplies to support uninterrupted operations.

Event Planning & Execution

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, event planners, and internal stakeholders.

Coordinate all event logistics including setup, staging, seating layouts, AV requirements, and breakdown.

Ensure timelines, operational checklists, and event workflows are executed accurately and on schedule.

Support event walkthroughs, risk assessments, and post-event evaluations to drive continuous improvement.

Staff & Vendor Management

Lead, schedule, and supervise event operations teams including security, housekeeping, ushers, and technical staff.

Hire, train, and evaluate staff to maintain high performance and service standards.

Manage third-party vendors such as catering, security, AV, decorators, and logistics providers.

Ensure vendor contracts, service-level expectations, and event deliverables are met consistently.
