Job Description

Position Overview

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and promoting IT products/services to potential customers. The role requires strong communication skills, market understanding, and the ability to convert leads into long-term business partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify potential clients through various channels (LinkedIn, cold calling, email campaigns, networking).

  • Research and understand target markets, sectors, and decision-makers.

  • Maintain and update the sales pipeline with qualified leads.

2. Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and product/service demos for prospective clients.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.

  • Understand client requirements and propose customized IT solutions.

3. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Convert qualified leads into business opportunities and close sales.

  • Work toward achieving monthly/quarterly sales targets.

  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and finalize deals with clients.

4. Collaboration & Coordination

  • Coordinate with technical teams to prepare proposals, solutions, and project scopes.

  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop sales materials and campaigns.

  • Provide feedback to management on market trends and competitive activities.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on lead status, client interactions, and sales performance.

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.

  • Track metrics such as conversions, pipelines, and revenue.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good understanding of IT services, software solutions, or technology products.

  • Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.

  • Ability to handle client objections and close deals.

  • Self-motivated with a target-driven mindset.

  • Basic knowledge of CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce preferred).


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development or sales (IT industry preferred).
