Job Title: Academic Counselor
Job Summary:
An Academic Counselor provides guidance and support to students in their educational journey by helping them choose courses, set academic goals, and develop strategies for success. They assist students in overcoming academic challenges, ensuring they stay on track for graduation while exploring career and further education opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Student Advising: Guide students in selecting appropriate courses and academic programs based on their interests, abilities, and career goals.
• Educational Planning: Help students create academic plans that align with graduation requirements and future aspirations.
• Career Counseling: Provide information on career paths, job market trends, and higher education opportunities.
• Academic Support: Identify students facing academic difficulties and develop strategies to improve their performance.
• Monitoring Progress: Track students' academic progress and provide timely interventions when needed.
• Mental Health & Well-being: Refer students to appropriate mental health or personal counseling services if they face non-academic challenges.
• Scholarship & Financial Aid Guidance: Assist students in finding and applying for scholarships, grants, and financial aid.
Requirements:
✔️ Bachelor's or Master’s in any field.
✔️ Experience in academic advising or student support
✔️ Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
✔️ 0-2 Years Experience required in the Same Field.
Work Environment:
• Typically works in Edtech, Corporate, colleges, universities, or private educational institutions.
