Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and passionate South Indian Chef who specializes in preparing traditional South Indian dishes, especially a variety of dosas, chutneys, and sambhar. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a high-volume kitchen and maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare a wide range of South Indian dishes including:
Dosa varieties (Plain, Masala, Rava, Ghee, etc.)
Idli, Vada, Uttapam
Sambhar and multiple chutneys
Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation
Maintain proper fermentation of batter and ingredient quality
Manage tawa operations efficiently during peak hours
Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per food safety standards
Train and guide kitchen assistants when required
Ensure minimal wastage and proper storage of raw materials
Requirements
Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or Dosa Master
Strong expertise in dosa batter preparation and fermentation
Ability to handle high-volume orders efficiently
Knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude
