Prepare and cook South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, pongal, upma, uttapam, appam, chutneys, sambar, rasam, kurma, and other regional specialties as per standard recipes.
Assist senior chefs in daily mise en place and food preparation.
Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation of all dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned kitchen section.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
Properly store food items and label products according to FIFO and FEFO procedures.
Minimize food wastage and report any shortages or equipment issues to the senior chef.
Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
Support the kitchen team during peak service hours.
Participate in stock-taking and inventory management when required.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, health regulations, and safety policies.
