Responsibilities:
Prepare South Indian dishes such as Idli, Dosa, Vada, Uttapam, Upma, Sambar, Rasam, Chutneys and other items.
Handle preparation and cooking in bulk quantities for catering and events.
Maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation.
Prepare batter, chutneys, sambar and other ingredients as required.
Follow proper food hygiene and safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and cooking equipment.
Ensure timely preparation of food as per service requirements.
Coordinate with the kitchen team during events and catering operations.
Minimize food wastage and maintain proper portion control.
✅ Requirements:
Previous experience as a South Indian Cook preferred.
Good knowledge of South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
Experience in bulk food preparation/catering preferred.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
Good teamwork and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Flexible to work during events and catering functions.
Freshers with basic cooking knowledge may also be considered.
