About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Neapolitan Pizza Artisan to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in crafting authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas, including dough fermentation, hand stretching, topping balance, and high-temperature oven baking.

This role is ideal for someone who understands artisanal pizza-making and takes pride in quality, consistency, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare authentic Neapolitan pizza dough using traditional methods (biga/poolish/direct fermentation preferred)

• Manage dough fermentation, proofing, hydration levels, and portioning

• Hand-stretch pizza dough (no rolling pin) while maintaining proper crust structure

• Prepare fresh sauces, toppings, cheeses, and mise en place

• Operate wood-fired, gas-fired, or high-temperature pizza ovens efficiently

• Bake pizzas at high temperatures while maintaining consistency in texture, leopard spotting, and crust quality

• Maintain hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards

• Monitor ingredient quality, stock levels, and prep requirements

• Work closely with kitchen team during service for timely order execution

• Assist in menu innovation and seasonal pizza specials

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in Neapolitan or artisanal pizza making

• Strong understanding of dough science, fermentation, hydration, and flour types

• Experience with wood-fired or stone deck ovens preferred

• Knowledge of authentic Italian ingredients and techniques

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Attention to detail and passion for craftsmanship

• Basic English/Hindi communication preferred

Preferred Skills

• Sourdough or long fermentation experience

• Experience in Italian cuisine or specialty cafés/restaurants

• Ability to train junior kitchen staff
