We are seeking an experienced and passionate North Indian & Tandoori Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing authentic North Indian cuisine and tandoor specialties while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of North Indian dishes, including curries, gravies, breads, snacks, and regional specialties.
Operate and manage the tandoor oven for preparing naan, roti, kulcha, kebabs, tikka, and other tandoori items.
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
Prepare marinades, sauces, spice blends, and ingredients as per standard recipes.
Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen in accordance with food safety regulations.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food products.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service of food.
Minimize food wastage and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations.
Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a North Indian and Tandoori Cook in a restaurant, hotel, catering unit, or cloud kitchen.
Strong knowledge of authentic North Indian cuisine and tandoor cooking techniques.
Experience in preparing a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Expertise in making various Indian breads and tandoori appetizers.
Ability to maintain recipe consistency and portion control.
Knowledge of menu planning and food costing is an advantage.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
