ey Responsibilities

Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables; clean and prep meats and fish. Measure ingredients and assist chefs with assembling dishes. [1, 2, 3]
Sanitation & Cleaning: Operate commercial dishwashers, hand-wash delicate items, and ensure all dishes and utensils are sanitized. Sweep and mop floors, wipe down workstations, and manage rubbish disposal. [1, 2, 3]
Inventory & Stock: Unload food deliveries, organize pantries and cold storage, and ensure proper stock rotation to keep food fresh. [1, 2]
Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict health and safety regulations. Prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper food storage temperatures. [1, 2]

Essential Requirements

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long hours, lift heavy objects (e.g., bulk ingredient deliveries), and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
Teamwork: Strong communication skills to coordinate with cooks, waitstaff, and the head chef.
Basic Knowledge: Familiarity with kitchen tools and a foundational understanding of food hygiene standards.
