Kitchen Helper

Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Preparation Assistance

   • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits.

   • Assist in basic cooking tasks such as mixing, garnishing, or portioning food.

   • Measure and prepare ingredients as directed by cooks.
     

2. Kitchen Maintenance & Cleanliness

   • Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.

   • Sweep, mop, and keep the kitchen floor free from spills or hazards.

   • Ensure waste is disposed of properly and recycling protocols are followed.
     

3. Dishwashing & Utensil Management

   • Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen tools promptly.

   • Organize clean utensils and equipment for easy access.
     

4. Stock & Storage Management

   • Receive, unpack, and store deliveries in refrigerators, freezers, and storerooms.

   • Check and maintain stock levels; report shortages to the supervisor.

   • Ensure proper labeling and storage of ingredients to avoid spoilage.
     

5. Support to Kitchen Team

   • Follow instructions from chefs or supervisors promptly.

   • Assist in plating and serving food during peak hours.

   • Help with set-up and closing duties in the kitchen.
