Job Title: Italian Chef

Location: Ethiopian Cultural Centre, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi
Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Executive Chef / Centre Management

Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Italian Chef to lead and execute authentic Italian cuisine. The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of traditional and modern Italian cooking, exceptional kitchen discipline, and experience working in recognized hotels, restaurants, or premium culinary establishments.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute authentic Italian menus including appetizers, pasta, risotto, pizzas, mains, desserts, and seasonal specialties.
Ensure exceptional quality, taste, and presentation standards across all dishes.
Maintain authenticity in ingredients, preparation techniques, and culinary philosophy.
Innovate with contemporary Italian and fusion concepts while respecting traditional methods.
Oversee kitchen operations related to the Italian section, including prep, cooking, plating, and service coordination.
Manage ingredient sourcing, inventory control, and food cost optimization.
Maintain hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with management and events teams for curated dining experiences, festivals, and special programs.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff where applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements

Extensive professional experience specializing in Italian cuisine (5+ years preferred).
Proven experience working with well-known hospitality brands, hotels, or premium restaurants.
Strong expertise in traditional Italian techniques, sauces, pasta preparation, baking, and plating.
Knowledge of authentic Italian ingredients, cheeses, oils, and flavor profiles.
Excellent kitchen management and organizational skills.
Creativity, attention to detail, and passion for culinary excellence.
Ability to work in a multicultural, high-expectation hospitality environment.
Flexibility for evening, weekend, and event-based schedules.
