We are looking for an experienced and creative Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should specialize in authentic Indian cuisine, including regional dishes from North, South, East, and/or West India. You will be responsible for preparing traditional and modern Indian meals while maintaining high standards of hygiene, taste, and presentation.
Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic Indian dishes (curries, tandoori items, biryanis, breads, snacks, desserts, etc.).
Design and update Indian menu offerings in line with customer preferences and food trends.
Manage daily kitchen operations related to Indian food preparation.
Oversee and train junior kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques and food safety.
Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and manage stock rotation.
Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations.
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of every dish.
Handle special dietary requirements and customize dishes accordingly.
Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing authentic Indian spices and ingredients.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience as an Indian Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or catering business.
In-depth knowledge of Indian culinary techniques, spices, and regional specialties.
Culinary degree or diploma preferred but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent communication and team management skills.
Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and during peak hours.
Experience with tandoor ovens, dosa griddles, and Indian dessert-making.
Menu engineering and cost control expertise.
Ability to innovate with modern Indian fusion dishes.
Multilingual (knowledge of Hindi or regional Indian languages is a plus).
