We are looking for a Indian Cook to join our team Thyme and Whisk and prepare delicious meals for the guests. Key responsibility includes preparing and delivering high-quality dishes, setting up the menu, and delegating tasks to kitchen staff (If needed).
Core Responsibilities
Food Preparation: Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of North/South Indian dishes, including curries, bread (tandoor), and snacks.
Menu & Inventory: Plan menus, source ingredients, and manage inventory to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
Hygiene & Safety: Maintain strict cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the kitchen, following health regulations.
Quality Control: Ensure consistent taste, portion sizes, and presentation for all meals.
Kitchen Operations: Oversee food production, supervise or train junior staff, and assist with, or direct, kitchen operations.
Key Requirements
Culinary Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indian spices, ingredients, and regional cooking techniques.
Experience: Previous experience as an Indian cook or in a similar role.
Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple orders, and handle specialized equipment (e.g., tandoor).
