Head Cook

A college hostel cook prepares, cooks, and serves nutritious, timely meals for students while maintaining strict hygiene and kitchen safety standards. Key responsibilities include menu planning, ingredient preparation, cleaning the dining/kitchen area, and managing food inventory. The role often involves working in shifts, managing food costs, and complying with health regulations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Meal Preparation: Cook, season, and prepare high-volume food items according to menus and quality standards.

• Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen, storage, and food preparation area.

• Inventory Management: Manage food supplies, inventory levels, and proper storage of ingredients to avoid wastage.

• Dietary Adherence: Adapt recipes to meet special dietary requirements or health restrictions of students.

• Equipment Maintenance: Properly use and maintain all kitchen equipment.

• Staff Coordination: Work with, and often supervise, kitchen hands or assistants to ensure efficient service.

• It is a Full Time Cook / Chef job for candidates with 3 - 6+ years Experience.
