Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Continental Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of continental cuisine, food preparation techniques, and presentation standards. The candidate must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality food standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes including appetizers, soups, salads, main courses, and desserts.
Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines.
Maintain hygiene and food safety standards as per FSSAI guidelines.
Monitor stock levels and inform the kitchen team about shortages.
Assist in menu planning and introducing new dishes.
Ensure proper storage of raw materials and ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and kitchen equipment.
Coordinate with the kitchen team for smooth operations during service hours.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Continental Cook or similar role.
Knowledge of Italian, French, Mediterranean, and European cuisines is preferred.
Understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure.
Good time management skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Culinary diploma or certification is an advantage.
