Key responsibilities
• Prepare and cook Continental dishes including soups, sauces, grills, pastas, salads, and baked items
• Follow standard recipes to ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
• Manage the Continental kitchen section and complete full mise-en-place before service
• Maintain portion control and timely execution of orders during service
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients to maintain freshness and prevent wastage
• Follow FSSAI and food safety standards — cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and workstation
• Follow FIFO method and proper labelling of all food items
• Support senior chefs during menu trials, tastings, and new dish development
• Monitor stock levels for the Continental section; report shortages or excess to the Head Chef
• Minimise food wastage through careful planning, portioning, and use of raw materials
• Support banquet and bulk cooking operations during resort events and weddings
Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Continental cuisine, preferably in a hotel, resort, or quality dining kitchen
• Culinary diploma or certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of Continental cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen hygiene
• Experience in bulk cooking and banquet operations
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume kitchen
• Languages: English, Hindi
