We are looking for motivated and skilled Continental Commis Chefs (C3/C2/C1) to join our culinary team in Mumbai. The role involves assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Continental cuisine while maintaining hygiene standards and supporting smooth kitchen operations. Candidates must have at least 6 months of professional kitchen experience.
Assist in preparing, cooking, and plating dishes within the Continental section.
Follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations as per HACCP/FSSAI standards.
Assist in daily mise en place for sauces, vegetables, meats, pastas, grills, etc.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO/FEFO).
Operate kitchen equipment safely (grills, ovens, fryers, salamanders, etc.).
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and quantity of dishes.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during service.
Basic food prep: chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, portioning ingredients.
Support senior chefs in simple cooking tasks.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness and assist with basic kitchen duties.
Learn core Continental techniques and station setup.
Execute dishes as per recipes with minimal supervision.
Handle specific station tasks such as salads, appetizers, or basic mains.
Prepare sauces, stocks, pastas, and accompaniments.
Assist Commis 1 and guide Commis 3 when needed.
Independently manage a designated station (grill, sauté, pantry, or hot section).
Prepare and plate high-quality Continental dishes consistently.
Assist in menu development, trials, and new dish creation.
Monitor food quality, cooking times, and presentation.
Supervise junior staff (C2 & C3) and ensure smooth kitchen flow.
Minimum 6 months of experience in a professional kitchen (Continental or multi-cuisine preferred).
Diploma/Certification in Culinary Arts is an advantage.
Basic to advanced knowledge of Continental cuisine depending on Commi level.
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to handle fast-paced kitchen operations.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Full-time role based in Mumbai.
Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
Physically demanding: long hours of standing, heat exposure, and fast service environment.
