Job Description

Restaurant is looking for a skilled Commis – Cold Kitchen (Mezze Section) to prepare authentic Middle Eastern cold appetizers and salads. The ideal candidate should have experience in maintaining consistency, freshness, presentation, and hygiene while working in a fast-paced professional kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate cold mezze and salads.

• Make and maintain quality of:

  • Hummus

  • Moutabal (Baba Ghanoush)

  • Muhammara

  • Labneh

  • Tzatziki

  • Garlic Toum

  • Fattoush

  • Tabbouleh

  • Greek Salad

  • Coleslaw and other cold preparations

• Prepare daily mise en place.

• Ensure proper storage, freshness, and portion control.

• Follow Zouq's recipes and presentation standards.

• Maintain food safety and kitchen hygiene.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in the cold kitchen or mezze section.

• Experience with Middle Eastern, Turkish, Lebanese, or Mediterranean cuisine is preferred.

• Good knife skills and knowledge of cold food preparation.

• Ability to work efficiently during busy service hours.

• Team player with a positive attitude.
