Job Summary
The Commis II is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to the café's recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. The role supports smooth kitchen operations by ensuring timely food production, maintaining hygiene standards, and assisting senior chefs in daily kitchen activities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook continental café menu items such as sandwiches, burgers, wraps, pasta, salads, breakfast items, and sides.
Perform mise en place and ensure all ingredients are prepared before service.
Follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of orders during peak hours.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and stock rotation (FIFO).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
Assist in receiving, storing, and managing kitchen inventory.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
Minimize food wastage and report shortages to supervisors.
Support kitchen team members to achieve operational efficiency.
