Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Commis 2 Chef to join the kitchen team at Radio Kitchen. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of North Indian cuisine, Chinese food preparation, and tandoor operations. The candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious, hygienic, and high-quality dishes while maintaining consistency, food safety, and kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare North Indian dishes, including dal, paneer gravies, curries, and other main-course items.
Prepare Chinese dishes such as noodles, fried rice, Manchurian, and chili paneer.
Operate the tandoor and prepare roti, naan, kulcha, and other tandoori items.
Set up the kitchen with the required ingredients, utensils, and equipment before service.
Perform vegetable cutting, marination, mise en place, and daily food preparation.
Cook and dispatch orders within the required preparation time.
Follow standard recipes and maintain consistent taste, quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
Check ingredient freshness, maintain proper food storage, and discard expired or spoiled ingredients.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
Minimize food wastage and support efficient inventory management.
Assist senior chefs and coordinate with kitchen staff during busy service hours.
Follow customer dietary instructions and special food requests wherever applicable.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years of relevant kitchen experience preferred.
Practical knowledge of North Indian cuisine, Chinese dishes, and tandoor operations.
Ability to prepare Indian breads and handle tandoor equipment safely.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Good time management, teamwork, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant or cloud kitchen environment.
Culinary training or a relevant certification will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate: Someone who can independently handle basic North Indian, Chinese, and tandoor preparations and is ready to join immediately.
