Culinary Commi 2

Bloom is a hospitality brand focused on creating simple, comfortable and memorable guest experiences. We are looking for a passionate Commi 2 who can support the kitchen team and maintain consistent food quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef and senior kitchen team in the preparation of Indian dishes.

• Follow standard recipes, portion sizes and presentation guidelines.

• Maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation of food.

• Ensure proper handling, storage and labelling of food items.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations and equipment.

• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

• Support the team during busy service periods and ensure timely food preparation.

• Minimise food wastage through proper preparation and storage practices.

• Coordinate effectively with other kitchen team members.

• Assist with receiving and checking kitchen supplies when required.

Candidate Profile

• Position: Commi 2 – Indian Cuisine

• Prior experience in an Indian kitchen is preferred.

• Knowledge of Indian cuisine, basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

• Experience with à la carte and/or breakfast operations is an advantage.

• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
