Culinary Commi 2

About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking and skilled Commi to join our new café in Goa. The candidate will be responsible for hot kitchen operations, food preparation, cooking and order execution while maintaining quality, hygiene and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food as per standard recipes and SOPs.

• Handle hot kitchen operations including grilling, sautéing, cooking and finishing.

• Complete daily mise-en-place and preparation requirements.

• Ensure proper portioning, taste, presentation and consistency.

• Execute orders accurately and quickly during peak hours.

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.

• Follow FIFO and proper food storage procedures.

• Monitor ingredients and inform the senior chef about shortages.

• Minimize food wastage and maintain proper portion control.

• Coordinate with the FOH team for smooth and timely order execution.

• Support food assembly and other kitchen sections whenever required.

• Follow opening, closing and cleaning checklists.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a café, QSR, restaurant or hotel kitchen.

• Hands-on knowledge of hot kitchen operations.

• Basic knowledge of Indian/continental café-style food preparation.

• Good understanding of hygiene and food safety.

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently during rush hours.

• Disciplined and comfortable working as part of a team.

• Willing to work in shifts, weekends and holidays.

• Immediate joiners will be preferred.

• It is a Full Time Cook / Chef job for candidates with 6 months - 2 years of experience.
