Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes in accordance with recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared and cooked to the required quality and presentation standards.
Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef with mise en place for their section.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are cleaned and sanitized after use.
Assist senior chefs with their duties, including plating, garnishing, and portioning of food.
Participate in cooking tasks during service hours under supervision.
Help in stock rotation and storage of ingredients and products.
Ensure ingredients are stored correctly according to safety standards.
Continuously learn and improve culinary skills and techniques under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
Attend training sessions or workshops provided by the restaurant
Requirements:
Basic culinary qualifications or a passion for cooking.
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong interest in developing culinary skills and learning about kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented with good communication skills.
Attention to detail and eagerness to improve and learn.
Flexible working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Physically demanding role requiring standing for long periods and lifting kitchen equipment.
