Commis 1 – Job Description
Role Overview:
As Commis 1, you will support the Chef de Partie (CDP) and senior kitchen staff in preparing high-quality dishes. You will play a key role in ensuring consistency, maintaining hygiene standards, and bringing passion for food to every plate served.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist CDP and Sous Chef in daily food preparation and cooking.
· Prepare ingredients, sauces, garnishes, and other components as instructed.
· Ensure all dishes are prepared in line with restaurant recipes and presentation standards.
· Maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
· Follow proper food storage, rotation, and labeling procedures.
· Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and HACCP standards.
· Contribute new ideas and bring creativity to menu items when required.
· Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen supplies.
· Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Required Skills & Experience:
· Minimum 1–2 years of experience as Commis 1 or similar role in a professional kitchen.
· Strong knowledge of Italian and/or Mexican will be an added advantage.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Good communication skills and a positive team spirit.
· Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife-handling skills.
· Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts (preferred but not mandatory).
Compensation:
Fixed Monthly Salary:
Performance Incentives: Based on monthly sales targets, customer reviews, and cost efficiency.

Work Timings :
· 6 Days working week – (Friday, Sat & Sun will be working due to peak business hours)
· 9 hours of mandatory working in a day with breaks included for lunch or dinner.
· Overtime to be paid extra based on business needs.
· Shift Timing – 11.30 am to 8.30 pm
