We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Commis 1 – Continental & Italian Chef to join our kitchen team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality continental and Italian dishes, assisting senior chefs, and ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook continental and Italian dishes such as pasta, pizza, risotto, grills, steaks, and sauces
Ensure all dishes are prepared as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines
Handle mise en place and daily kitchen preparation efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation
Assist Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in kitchen operations
Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation
Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients (FIFO method)
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Support in inventory management and stock control
Requirements:
2–4 years of experience in continental and Italian cuisine
Strong knowledge of pasta, pizza, sauces, and basic baking
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environmet.
