We are looking for a Commis 1 – Tandoor to join our team at Tadka Rani – Modern Indian Food and prepare flavorful, authentic tandoor items for our guests.
Key responsibilities include preparing and delivering high-quality tandoor dishes, assisting in menu setup, operating the tandoor safely, and supporting senior chefs with task delegation when required.
Prepare, cook, and present tandoor items such as breads, kebabs, tikka, grills, and signature dishes.
Manage tandoor temperature, fuel usage, and cooking timings with precision.
Assist in menu development and execution of modern tandoor-based dishes.
Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety protocols meticulously.
Ensure proper marination, storage, and handling of all tandoor ingredients.
Support senior chefs with mise-en-place and daily operational tasks.
Work efficiently during high-volume service and maintain quality consistency.
Previous experience working with tandoor in a professional kitchen.
Strong understanding of Indian spices, marinades, grilling techniques, and dough preparation.
Ability to manage high heat, long production hours, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
Willingness to work 10-hour shifts in a 24/7 operational kitchen.
Commitment to teamwork, discipline, and following kitchen SOPs.
Interest in exploring modern tandoor techniques and presentations.
