Job Summary:
Commi 1 is responsible for preparing and cooking food items under the supervision of the Chef de Partie. This role requires basic culinary knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare ingredients and cook dishes as per standard recipes and instructions.
-Assist Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
-Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas.
-Properly store and label food items to avoid contamination or spoilage.
-Ensure all food preparation is done in a timely and efficient manner.
-Follow kitchen safety and sanitation standards (HACCP guidelines).
-Handle kitchen equipment responsibly and report any maintenance issues.
-Participate in stock control, inventory, and receiving of kitchen supplies.
-Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred).
Freshers or 1 year experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant.
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
