Job Summary:
The Senior Cook helps run the kitchen smoothly. He/she supports junior staff, follows recipes, checks food quality, and keeps the kitchen clean and ready — especially during busy times.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise Prep Cook and Line Cook and support them in prep, cleaning, and service tasks.
Conduct kitchen checks to ensure counters, tools, and mise-en-place are organized.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, avoid cross-contamination, and enforce glove use.
Oversee daily and weekly cleaning schedules, including deep cleaning of all sections.
Prepare dough, sauces, dressings, and toppings as per standard recipes.
Manage and assign KOTs to respective stations and ensure timely, quality output.
Taste and verify final dishes before dispatch to meet quality standards.
Take daily backup and closing inventory; assist with accurate ordering of vegetables, dairy, gas, and meat.
