Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and versatile All-Rounder Commi Chef to join our culinary team at our property in Varkala. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing and cooking South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, and Continental cuisines, maintaining high standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of a wide variety of dishes across multiple cuisines (South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, Continental).
Follow standard recipes and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Support senior chefs in kitchen operations and daily menu execution.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
Assist in managing food inventory and minimizing wastage.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Commi Chef / All-Rounder Cook in hotels, resorts, or restaurants.
Strong knowledge of South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, and Continental cuisines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
Team player with good communication and multitasking skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management.
Prior experience in coastal or resort properties is an added advantage.
