Perform food preparation tasks, including cutting, marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes of all dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and equipment.
Monitor food inventory and assist in ordering supplies when needed.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
Minimize food waste and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
Assist in menu development and suggest new Chinese dishes when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience as a Chinese Cook, Chinese Chef, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional cuisines.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Culinary certification or relevant training is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Experience in preparing Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, or other regional Chinese cuisines.
Knowledge of wok cooking, dim sum preparation, and traditional Chinese culinary methods.
Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
