The Chinese Chef (Commi 1) will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic Chinese dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency. The role requires strong technical skills in Chinese cuisine, speed, and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment. He should be one- man army , and should be able to train others well.
Prepare and cook all Chinese dishes as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines (e.g., noodles, rice, dim sums, stir-fried dishes, soups, sauces, etc.).
Assist senior chefs in menu planning, food costing, and portion control.
Ensure all mise-en-place is completed before service time.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per FSSAI and internal standards.
Handle equipment and ingredients with care to minimize wastage.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
Check quality and freshness of raw materials before use.
Coordinate with service staff to ensure timely and efficient food delivery.
Support team members during rush hours and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and maintain consistency.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Commi 1 / Chinese Cook in a reputed restaurant, café, or QSR.
Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques (wok handling, sauce preparation, frying, steaming, etc.).
Good understanding of hygiene, safety, and kitchen discipline.
Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment.
Must be punctual, disciplined, and willing to learn.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management preferred.
FSSAI certification (if available) will be an added advantage.Employment Type:
