Maharashtrian & South Indian Chef
We are looking for an experienced and versatile Chef who can independently manage a Maharashtrian Snacks & Meals Counter. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in preparing authentic, high-quality Maharashtrian snacks, Misal varieties, South Indian dishes, thalis, desserts, and beverages while maintaining consistency, hygiene, and food quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve Maharashtrian snacks such as Vada Pav, Batata Vada, Dahi Vada, Alu Wadi, Poha, Tarri Poha, Upma, Sabudana Vada, Sabudana Khichdi, Kothimbir Wadi, Veg Cutlet, and more.
Prepare authentic Misal, Usal, Tarri, Rassa, and related specialties.
Cook meals including Veg Thali, Poori Bhaji, Pulav, Rice varieties, Dal preparations, and Khichdi.
Prepare South Indian dishes including Idli, Vada, Sambar, Dosa, Uttapam, and their various specialty versions.
Prepare desserts such as Pineapple Sheera, Dink Ladoo, Gulab Jamun, and Kharwas.
Ensure excellent taste, presentation, portion control, and food consistency.
Manage kitchen inventory, stock requisition, wastage control, and food costing.
Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Maharashtrian and South Indian cuisine.
Ability to handle a high-volume QSR or restaurant kitchen independently.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to work flexible shifts.
