Job Summary

The Café Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality food, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations. This role requires creativity, efficiency, and a passion for delivering excellent café-style meals and baked goods in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items such as breakfast dishes, sandwiches, salads, snacks, and baked goods

• Ensure food is prepared and presented according to café standards

• Assist in menu planning and introducing seasonal or specialty items

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization at all times

• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations

• Minimize food waste and manage portion control

• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service

• Train and guide kitchen assistants when required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, bakery, or restaurant

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Creative approach to menu items and presentation

• Culinary training or certification (preferred)
