About the Role
Benfish is seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations across its restaurant outlets. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Bengali and Chinese cuisine, along with the ability to manage kitchen operations, maintain quality standards, and lead a high-performing culinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure smooth daily functioning.
Plan, develop, and standardize menus with a focus on Bengali and Chinese cuisine.
Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high performance.
Monitor food costs, wastage, inventory, and kitchen budgets.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Coordinate with procurement teams for sourcing quality ingredients.
Introduce seasonal menus and innovative dishes while maintaining brand standards.
Ensure timely food production and efficient kitchen operations.
Work closely with restaurant management to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.Experience Required
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in professional kitchens, with at least 3 years as an Executive Chef or Head Chef.
Must have strong hands-on experience in Bengali and Chinese cuisine.
Experience in managing multiple kitchen teams or restaurant outlets is preferred.
Skills Required
Expertise in Bengali and Chinese culinary techniques.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
Ability to maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency.
Good communication and organizational skills.
