An Indian Chef is responsible for preparing authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, and presentation. The role requires strong knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, and regional dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes including curries, breads, rice, snacks, and desserts
Ensure authenticity, consistency, and quality of food
Prepare and balance spice blends, gravies, and marinades
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen
Manage food preparation, storage, and inventory
Assist in menu planning and development
Ensure timely food preparation and service
Reduce food wastage and control costs
Supervise and support kitchen staff when required
Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience as an Indian Chef
Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and regional cuisines
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Attention to detail and consistency
Good teamwork and time management skills
