An Indian & Tandoor Chef is responsible for preparing authentic Indian cuisine, with a strong focus on tandoor-cooked dishes, while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including curries, breads, and tandoor items
Operate and manage the tandoor oven safely and efficiently
Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables using traditional spices and techniques
Prepare fresh naan, roti, and other Indian breads
Ensure consistent taste, portion size, and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen according to food safety standards
Manage inventory, ingredients, and proper food storage
Assist in menu planning and development
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience as an Indian/Tandoor Chef
Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Attention to detail and consistency
Good time management and teamwork skills
