Job Summary
The Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present food according to standard recipes and quality guidelines.
Plan and organize daily food production to ensure timely service.
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management.
Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control.
Supervise and guide kitchen helpers and junior kitchen staff.
Inspect food ingredients for freshness and quality.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and health & safety guidelines.
Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Assist in menu planning and introduce new dishes when required.
Perform other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
