Job Description

Position: Ice Cake Baker
Department: Production / Bakery
Location: Chromepet, Chennai
Reporting To: Managing Director

Job Summary :We are seeking a skilled and creative Ice Cake Baker to prepare, assemble, decorate, and maintain high-quality ice cream cakes and frozen desserts. The ideal candidate should have experience in cake preparation, decorating techniques, food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and bake cake bases according to standard recipes.
Assemble ice cream cakes with specified flavors, layers, and fillings.
Decorate ice cream cakes using icing, whipped cream, chocolate, edible toppings, and customized designs.
Prepare cakes for birthdays, celebrations, and special customer orders.
Ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and quality of all products.
Maintain proper storage of cakes and ingredients in freezers and refrigerators.
Monitor inventory of baking ingredients, toppings, and packaging materials.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Operate and clean baking and decorating equipment.
Assist in developing new ice cream cake designs and seasonal products.
Coordinate with the sales team regarding custom cake orders and delivery schedules.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Certificate/Diploma in Bakery & Confectionery (preferred).
1–3 years of experience in cake baking, pastry production, or ice cream cake preparation.
Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and frozen dessert handling.
Ability to work in a cold environment and stand for extended periods.
Attention to detail and creativity in cake presentation.
Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.

Salary: Rs.30,000 to Rs.36,000 per month
Employment Type: Full-Time.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹36,000.00 per month
