We are Hiring Cake Maker.
Key Responsibilities
Baking & Preparation: Mix ingredients, bake cakes, create frostings, fillings, and glazes.
Design & Decoration: Apply techniques (fondant, piping, airbrushing) to create artistic designs for custom orders (weddings, birthdays).
Client Interaction: Consult with customers, understand their vision, provide recommendations, and take orders.
Quality & Safety: Adhere to food safety standards, ensure product freshness, and maintain a sanitary work area and equipment.
Inventory: Monitor, order, and manage decorating supplies, ingredients, and tools.
Display: Arrange and maintain appealing displays in the shop.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Prior experience as a baker/decorator is often preferred.
Education: A diploma/certificate in baking or pastry arts is a plus.
Creativity: Highly creative with an eye for detail and artistic flair.
Technical: Knowledge of various decorating tools, techniques (fondant, gum paste), and baking science.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, customer service, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Typical Environment
Bakeries, catering companies, hotels, or grocery stores.
May involve long hours, especially during busy seasons
