We are looking for a Bengali Chef to join our team at Saha Foods and prepare delicious meals for the guests. Key responsibility includes preparing and delivering high-quality dishes, setting up the menu, and delegating tasks to kitchen staff (If needed). The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹20,000 - ₹25,000.
Skills Required for Bengali Cook:
Expertise in authentic Bengali cuisine (veg & non-veg)
Proficiency in dishes like Bengali Biryani, Macher Jhol, Chingri Malai Curry, Shorshe Ilish, Kosha Mangsho
Strong knowledge of traditional spices (panch phoron, mustard paste, etc.)
Ability to maintain authentic taste and presentation
Experience in preparing both daily meals and bulk orders
Knowledge of fish cutting, cleaning, and marination techniques
Ability to manage kitchen operations independently
Understanding of hygiene, food safety, and storage practices
Experience in handling tandoor or Chinese (optional, if needed)
Time management and ability to work under pressure
Menu planning and portion control skills
Consistency in taste and quality
Job Requirements:
The minimum qualification for this role is below 10th and 3 - 6+ years of experience. Familiarity with cooking techniques (advance & non-traditional), recipes, and sanitation regulations are ideal for the position. The role requires excellent time management and leadership skills. A culinary school diploma or certification in a similar field is a plus.
