A barista prepares and serves drinks, welcomes guests, and operates equipment. The core duties include crafting beverages, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Beverage Preparation

Brewing espresso and specialty coffee drinks like lattes and cappuccinos.
Steaming and texturing milk to correct temperatures.
Preparing teas, cold brews, and alternative artisan beverages.
Grinding beans and adjusting equipment for optimal flavor.
Customer Service
- Welcoming guests with a friendly attitude and answering menu questions.
- Taking orders accurately with specific milk or sugar adjustments.
- Processing payments using the point-of-sale (POS) cash register system.
- Making recommendations and explaining flavor profiles.
- Shop Maintenance
  - Cleaning and sanitizing counters, espresso machines, and tools.
