Job Title: Barista

Job Summary

A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages (coffee, tea, and specialty drinks) while delivering excellent customer service. The role also includes maintaining cleanliness, handling cash, and ensuring a great customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, and cold drinks

• Take customer orders accurately and politely

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area, equipment, and seating area

• Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines

• Handle billing, POS operations, and cash transactions

• Check stock levels and inform the supervisor for replenishment

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of coffee machines and equipment

• Upsell products (add-ons, combos, bakery items, etc.)

• Follow company SOPs, safety, and hygiene standards

Skills & Requirements

• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation (training can be provided)

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Team player with a positive attitude

• Basic math skills for billing and cash handling

• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass

• Prior experience in café, QSR, or restaurant is preferred (not mandatory for fresher)
