The baker will create, execute, and develop recipes, do quality checks on ingredients and finished items, enhance item presentation with icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations, and process customer orders.
Additionally, the baker must make sure that hygiene is maintained at all times during the baking process.
Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes to create a variety of baked goods such as breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
Operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters.
Monitor the baking process to ensure products are cooked to perfection, adjusting temperatures and timing as needed.
Decorate and finish baked goods with icing, glazes, and other garnishes.
Ensure all products adhere to quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitizing equipment and tools.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
Manage inventory, check for spoilage, and order supplies as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
Handle customer orders and potentially assist with sales and customer service.
