Assistant Cook

About the Role

Miratci is looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in planning, organizing, and supervising all kitchen operations.

• Lead and supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and service.

• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes across all menu items.

• Prepare and cook dishes as per standard recipes and quality specifications.

• Monitor food quality, freshness, and storage practices.

• Maintain kitchen hygiene and ensure compliance with FSSAI food safety standards.

• Oversee mise en place and ensure smooth kitchen workflow.

• Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management and ordering.

• Minimize food wastage through effective planning and portion control.

• Train, mentor, and evaluate junior chefs and kitchen assistants.

• Ensure equipment is used safely and report maintenance requirements promptly.

• Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely order execution and guest satisfaction.

• Support menu development, seasonal specials, and recipe standardization.

• Handle guest feedback related to food quality and implement corrective actions.

• Take charge of kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum 3–5 years of culinary experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

• Experience in Pan-Asian cuisine is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.

• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

• It is a Full Time Cook / Chef job for candidates with 2 - 6+ years Experience.
